Job Title: Senior Supply Analyst

Location: Fountain Valley, CA (100% Onsite)

Employment Type: Temporary (1-2 months covering LOA)

Pay: $35-$40/hr.

Position Overview

The Senior Supply Analyst is responsible for managing supply performance across assigned product lines sourced from both domestic and international suppliers. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, supports high service performance, and drives effective forecasting and replenishment strategies.

The position plays a critical role in balancing inventory investment with customer demand, directly impacting fulfillment rates, operational costs, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to support inventory and service level targets
  • Plan, create, and manage purchase orders, including standard replenishment and expedited orders (air/urgent)
  • Monitor and resolve backorders by coordinating closely with suppliers to improve delivery timelines
  • Track and manage inventory metrics, including fill rate, inventory levels (MOS), and purchase order aging
  • Lead initial planning and ordering activities for new product launches to ensure early-stage availability
  • Maintain accurate part master data and purchase order records within internal systems
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory planning and operational processes
  • Provide guidance and support to junior analysts to ensure team performance goals are met
  • Participate in system enhancements and process improvement initiatives
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analytical requests as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or forecasting
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
